I have a concealed carry permit for the state of Wisconsin. Do I need to update my address on my permit?
Wisconsin law requires a concealed carry licensee to notify the Department of Justice (DOJ) of a change of address within 30 days of changing his or her address (Wis. Stat. §175.60[b]1).
Licensees may update their address free of charge by visiting the DOJ website. There, if you choose, you can also request a duplicate permit with your updated address for a cost of $12.
A change of address can also be updated by mail by filling out a DJ-LE–285 form.
If you do not update your address information with the Department of Justice, you will not receive your renewal information, user identification number requests, or correspondence from the DOJ regarding the status of your license.
