How do I get a new Town (Rural) site address assigned for a house I’m building BEFORE my Uniform Address sign is installed/delivered?
1. Property owners shall fill out a Marathon County Uniform Site Address Application (pdf). Upon completion of the application, CPZ will assign an address. The owner will receive notification by standard mail or email of their new address.
2. CPZ will notify the town of the new address. The town will order and install the sign(s).
Applicants who are developing new roads within Marathon County must request and reserve the road name through an application with CPZ. Duplicate and similar road names are not allowed for the Marathon County Uniform Addressing System. CPZ will review then accept or deny the request. Once the application for a road name is approved by CPZ, a recommendation will be sent to the municipality for their approval of the road name.
Applicants must complete the Marathon County Road Name Application (Fillable PDF).
Please view the Marathon County Road Name Index (PDF). (New road names must be unique.)
