A handy worksheet titled “My Address” is included in Appendix C of the residential version for parents and teachers to use to help children learn and practice writing their new address. This is important information for children to know in an emergency.

Actual addresses are released and uploaded to MyMarathonCountyAddress.org as Official Notices are mailed to affected residents, landowners, and business owners between March and November 2018, and again in spring and summer 2019.
Cross-reference tables matching old addresses to new Uniform addresses (also in the form of Excel spreadsheets) are posted to the Maps page of this website on a schedule matching the County's Uniform Address sign-installation timeline. With the use of these downloadable spreadsheets, businesses should be able to update the address changes in their customer databases or contact lists. Additional address cross-reference tables will be uploaded throughout the project.

In January and February 2018, the Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce hosted a pair of FREE programs for business owners regarding the Uniform Addressing project. Members of the Marathon County Conservation, Planning, & Zoning Department were available to answer business owners’ questions about the project.
Additional educational programming to assist residents and businesses with the Uniform Addressing transition may be offered by the Marathon County Conservation, Planning, & Zoning Department in the future.

Marathon County has designated its nine public library locations to be information centers for the public to learn about and get help with the Uniform Addressing project. Trained staff members are ready and willing to answer your Uniform Addressing questions.
Along with offering FREE printed copies of the Uniform Addressing Quick Reference Guides, library staff can also assist individuals with changing their address online with the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles, cross-referencing old addresses with new Uniform Addresses, and more.
